The city of lights and noise. It was founded by entrepreneur and adventure, Gart Elvina, a man who had it all, money, power, and ego the size of the sun. It started off as a simple rest stop for adventures near the river that cuts the city in half, but Gart had other things planned for it, and so he contacted men and women like him, ones that wanted to make a quick buck in the untamed world of Felarya. Among them was the first and current Archmagus of Elvina, a title he gave himself the second he stepped foot into the ring of tents, abandoning any name he had before, it is wildly believed he lost his mind on his journey to Elvina. Soon buildings of stone and timber sprouted up alongside the colossal trees, replacing the tents that started this "wonderful" city. People of all kinds flocked to toss their dice in with this grand gamble of a city, including predators that wished to live easier lives or get an easy meal for once in

A city out of place among its surroundings, overflowing with the trappings of more civilized worlds with neon lights illuminating the stone streets and far more than one questionably legal business. Surprisingly, The amount of deaths of those that dwell within attributed to the hunger of those that tower above them is surprisingly low. An oddity even in a strange world such as Felarya. Elvina, the city of lights and noise, a spawning ground for all sorts of people, from the selfless beggar to the greedy guard. Quite an exciting place, one wonders how long it will last before it is nothing but a memory and a few decrepit buildings, but why worry about the future? Live, celebrate, and always keep your back to the wall, for one never knows when the celebration will turn to mourning.
This city was, strange. That's the only word for it, strange. From the outside looking in it looked dead, almost abandoned. But from the insid

Civilization, yes it exists in Felarya, in bustling cities (some of which carry the word formerly in front of bustling), a good deal of which are abandoned, and of course in the jungle. Depending on which city you decided to rest your roots for awhile, you may be better off testing your fate and chances in the jungle, for like anywhere else, there are criminals, skumbags, and overall just bastards who just want to ruin your day for no reason besides that you just stepped on their new shoes. One such city is Elvina, though it is not the dirtiest of cities, it is not the friendliest. So what if one, two, or several travelers disappear near the Elvina school of Alchemical and Magical study, so what if that indebted gambler "leaves" the city, As long as peace and happiness is kept, no one pays notice to the little problems of the place. Sadly for of one the dirtier parts of Elvina, someone else is about to notice.

Vil is an oddity. She began life alone, in a slow flowing river with pleasantly warm water, never meeting her parents. But she didn't mind, she was to busy enjoying the new feelings of life, like the flow of water around her, or the strange sights she saw on land. She was content with simply swimming through the many rivers of felarya, never gaining a taste for things smaller than her, besides fruit was ever so much more colorful. Though that isn't to say she didn't snatch a swimmer up every now and again, though it was by accident the first time. Her life went on in blissful loneliness, until one day she found herself surroundes by several rather terrified swimmers. They didn't trust her, because they weren't naive, but after a month or two they came to accept the probable danger of a mermaid deciding to settle in their lake, it was even better t
